About Vivek Sagar
Vivek Sagar is one of Telugu cinema's most distinctive musical voices. Born and raised in Hyderabad, he studied electronics engineering before trading circuits for compositions — a decision that would reshape the sound of a generation.
His debut score for Pelli Choopulu (2016) earned him his first Filmfare nomination and announced a composer who understood that film music doesn't just accompany story — it is the story. Since then, credits like Sammohanam, Brochevarevarura, Falaknuma Das, Ante Sundaraniki, Keedaa Cola, Double Engine, and Sarangapani Jathakam have confirmed that he is one of the most consistent creative forces working in Telugu cinema today.
In 2010 he co-founded Tapeloop — a studio, label, and creative collective in Hyderabad that has nurtured a generation of independent artists. Through Tapeloop Records, Vivek has released music that sits at the intersection of Telugu folk, blues, electronic, and Indian classical, refusing to be categorised.
